One of the most prominent ideas is implementing a whistle-to-whistle ban during live sporting events, similar to what the UK did in 2019.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>wants more supervision for gambling-related sponsorships<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>L\u2019Autorit\u00e9 Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) also wants more supervision for gambling-related sponsorships, despite these relationships not being as prominent in France as in other countries. For example, the only Ligue 1 soccer team with a sportsbook partner as its front-of-shirt sponsor is Le Havre with the Winamax logo.<\/p>\n<p>Another big focus is getting operators to roll out tools that will allow new gamblers to curtail how much they can lose in a defined period of time.<\/p>\n<p>One of ANJ\u2019s big targets is having a major responsible gambling campaign ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The global soccer event comes around every four years and garners huge volumes of wagers.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no timeline for when these measures might come into place.
